Can repellents for the body be applied on children under 3 months?
NO
Insofar as possible, it is recommended not to bring children under the age of 3 months into an area with a high density of mosquitoes. If this is nonetheless the case, it is strongly recommended not to apply repellents. The only recommended protection is a mosquito net for the cradle and spraying the child's clothing whenever it is taken out of the cradle.
For children between 3 month and 12 months, according to the AFSSAPS, it is not recommended to apply repellents. However, the CSHPF considers that "faced with the risk of contracting a serious disease, whether in an epidemic context or for a brief stay, no method of protection against mosquito bites should be neglected, and the use of a repellent cannot be totally ruled out."
